John Rachow, MD, PhD

John Rachow, MD, PhD is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Iowa’s Department of Medicine where he specializes in rheumatology and geriatrics. He received his medical degree at the University of Nebraska and holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska. Dr. Rachow is the immediate past-president of PSR’s board of directors and has been a PSR member since 2007. He has also been a member of the PSR Iowa steering committee since 2002. Dr. Rachow has co-authored multiple PSR reports, including Lessons from Fukushima and Chernobyl (2011) and Iowa Coal & Health: A Preliminary Mapping Study (2010).
